ABOUT ME
I have been running for more than 25 years, starting as an 11-year old following my Mom to local road races. I have always had a great love for running and racing and enjoy encouraging other runners to do  their best as well.

I was fortunate to have natural talent, a supportive and understanding mother and a brilliant coach. I won 4 TN State Championships and went on to run for UT-Chattanooga. At UTC, I was a 12-time All Conference performer and Southern Conference 10,000m champion.

I graduated with a BS in Exercise Science and moved to Nashville to be an Exercise Physiologist with Baptist Hospital. I worked there for ten years, developing fitness programs for individuals and groups. As a post-collegiate runner, I entered the always exciting world of marathoning. I ran Boston in 2004 and my PR of 3:09.26 in Chicago the following year.

In 2011, I became a mom to Lexi and began to independently coach, personal train and teach fitness classes. I have continued to run and race throughout the years adapting to the many changes of life.

Coaching began in high school with helping our rural community begin a cross-country program. I helped train high school students during college and continued to provide coaching and guidance throughout my career in a personal and professional setting.

I have trained elementary kids to grandmaster runners and everywhere inbetween.  Clients have come to me for improvement in the mile to the marathon. I have also coached people wanting to begin running or searching for a new marathon personal best.

Coaching can be a great service to those in the back of the pack as much as it can for the age group winners. I was fortunate to have a personal coach in high school and once again training for my marathon PR. Even experienced, knowledgeable runners at a high level can benefit from the leadership, feedback and motivation of a coach.

Running is still a great love and I hope to share that passion along with more than two decades of experience with other runners looking for something more.
